About the Shrine

Chuck's Anime Shrine started in 2002 as a hand-built anime portal — fan pages, Flash intros, forums, blogs, an anime figure shop, and the Anime.FM podcast. It grew through the golden age of the personal web, when sites were built one HTML page at a time.

In 2026 the shrine was reborn on a modern stack. But instead of bulldozing the past, the entire original site — every page, image, and Flash file from 2002–2014 — is preserved exactly as it was, playable Flash included, inthe museum.
