About us
Chuck's Anime Shrine is an anime fan hub tat started in 2002 as a humble anime shrine site; one of only a few that remain from that time. In 2006, we added a blog to the site that got some nods on BusinessWeek and has been a part of the anime/game community. In 2007 we started this store and have done roughly $500,000 in sales of legit, non bootleg anime figures and products since then. We hope with the 2014 revival and the continued help of our suppliers and you guys, our visitors, we will continue to be a place for anime fans to visit, blog and shop ^_^
Our Team
Our team is small but we hope that over time we will grow with the continued growth of the site, this store and our video game production ventures as well.
Chuck
Owner of the site. Created it in highschool back in 2002. The main person who runs the show here (and jeeze can it be tiring ^^;;) Been a fan of anime since 1997 a gamer since 1985. I'm a Computer Scientist by trade but I'm a game developer, professional voice over actor, animator, video editor and web designer. Until our team grow, it's mostly me behind the emails and shipping of your orders ^_^
Danielle
Chuck's fiancee who's been the helping hand of this site ever since April of 2002. She's the one who you can thank for our mascots, Fumi (and her three forms), Yumi and Lily. Back in 2003 she created Fumi and Lily and in 2008/2009 she created the idea for Yumi, the shrine maiden. The girl whom you see at the very top banner here. As for the store, she'll be our main purchaser, finding the best items to sell that only us anime fans know we want to get ^^
Kenneos
The artist who's one of a bunch of fan artists who've done work for our site logo and for our game based on our mascots, Tenshi-Oni. She first joined us back in 2009 after a banner contest we posted on Dannychoo.com/Culture Japan's site. Her work can be found here.
