Notes about fans/customers under 18

This site is not intended for or directed to persons under the age of 18. chucksanimeshrine.com does not sell products for purchase by children. chucksanimeshrine.com sells childrens products for purchase by adults. By registering with this site, purchasing products from chucksanimeshrine.com or providing our site with any information, you represent to chucksanimeshrine.com that you are 18 years of age or older and that any information you provide to chucksanimeshrine.com about a third party is for a third party that is 18 years of age or older.

Chucks Anime Shrine also sells some products that are intended ONLY for those over the age of 18; such as, but not limited to, eroge manga, cast off figures and Eroge games. Some of the subject matter and/or these products may be offensive to some not familar with the anime/otaku culture. Be mindful when sharing some of this material, particularly the products herein mentioned.

What Information we do collect

When you sign up on our store, we collect information meant only to contact you on your order, for the shipment of your order and for the volentary involvment in our newsletter. As a member of the various groups who fight the broad, and at many times illegal, overreach of organizations such as the NSA, GCHQ, etc, we make sure that none of this information is never ever voluntarily sold or shared to such agencies. If we ever recieve any unlawful inguiry on our data, then we will make such inquieries public on our various social network streams and informing the individuals who are queried. Only by a legal binding warrent in corrodination with local law enforcement will we abide by such inquiries and the gag orders that the prior mechanism currently tries to impose for all of us on the internet.

The information we store includes your email address, name and phyical address. We also, due to the age of the internet, make your phone number a voluntary requirement. We here at chucksanimeshrine.com chose to exclusivley communicate via only the modern forms of communication such as email and social media. If we keep our phone number separate from the process, so should you be allowed. Like us, if there is an emergency and the only communication is by phone, then a phone number or VOIP number will be given. Submitting your phone number can help us contact you better in case of an emergency, but in todays various, internet-driven modes of communication, its not needed.

What about Payment information, where is that stored?

For the extra security of our customers, we DO NOT store any payment information such as credit card number, etc on our servers.

As of this writing, we currently work with Paypal for direct credit card payments & Paypal payments, Amazon payments and BitPay for Bitcoin transactions. All of your personal payment and login info is stored on their respected sites. Please refer to their individual privacy policies and/or customer service if there is an issue you may have with the information on these sites or if you feel your payment accounts have been compromised and used for purchases on this site.

What About Site Traffic and Sales Data?

We use Google Analytics and the latest version of OsCommerce (ver 2.3.3.4 as of this post) for our site traffic and sales analytics. This information is kept anonymus and only used to help make the site and store a better place to shop, visit and blog. With the 2014 upgrade we also ask you in a popup on the first screen you see asking if you wish to be part of the Google Analytics data. You have all the right to state no and to even save this choice in your cookies.

ChucksAnimeShrine.com is strickly a fan-site whos purpose is to promote the art and culture of japanese animation and entertainment and legally distribute anime products with accordance to business rules and ethics. Please note that all fan-sites are free advertisements for all of the large anime companies and manufacturers.
